The vision of Mrs. K. Tutoring is to provide a community-building experience that allows families impacted by dyslexia to find solutions and encouragement as their children discover and appreciate the unique capabilites God has given them.
Mrs. K. Tutoring offers support for homeschool families impacted by dyslexia in four ways:
Mrs. K. Tutoring provides students who struggle in reading, writing, and/or spelling with one-on-one instruction from Jolene Klabunde, a Barton Tutor, certified at the Masters Level, using the Barton Reading & Spelling System. Materials for practice are provided to parents so that goals can be attained more quickly.
Mrs. K. Tutoring supports parents who want to teach their own children using the Barton Reading & Spelling System. Parents have access to materials and an “at-home” tutoring space designed for the Language Arts component of their child’s homeschool experience.
Mrs. K. Tutoring educates parents by hosting workshops that are designed to cultivate an in-depth understanding of the Barton Reading & Spelling System methods as well as other educational materials that support dyslexia.
Mrs. K. Tutoring facilitates community gatherings to provide interactive opportunities for families and allow children to connect with other Barton homeschool learners.
